You Can Do It!

You’ve heard us go on in these pages about how liberty equals personal responsibility. Corollary to that is self-reliance, whether it’s changing your own tire, making your own soap, or growing the vegetables/fruits your family consumes. We’re certainly not walled-compound survivalists, but everyone should know how to do these things, and so many more. If something catastrophic happened, gods forbid, that damaged the infrastructure of your country/community, then the more things you are able to do for yourself, the better off you and your family will be.
To that end, we’re going to periodically feature how-to posts going forward here on TLIH. How to make your own wine/beer, recipes for things only previously found in grocery stores…you know, the important stuff first! If any of you out there have skills/hobbies along that line, please drop us a note, we’d love to talk to you about guest posting here. Extra added bonus: Our guest posters receive a stylish and assertive t-shirt declaring that they, too, Hold the Line against the nanny state and all those who would make us into a passive, pablum-fed populace. (I get extra points for alliteration there. Right??)
In support of all this, we’ve added some categories to our Recommended page, including Gardening Supplies, a great many seeds (veggies, herbs, and some flowers just for fun), and Camping Gear (coming soon). Of course, any purchases you make through that store will go to support this site, so we appreciate your help!
